Kind of forgot about this other thing I uploaded last month, at the Keep. Oops. They're a bundle of recolours of the Medieval build items that came with the Uni EP.

I recoloured the double door, two story door, window and column that came with University. I also made a clone of the connecting column and made that recolourable and slaved it to the regular column. The window recolours come in two versions: with and without the inner beams. I also included a glassless window recolour. Each item has 100 recolours, both of the doors also have 34 recolours of the actual door part (as opposed to the frame). Each of the doors also lends it textures to the corresponding arch, and if you want some more variety, I recommend getting Leefish's Daniel Expansion set, which will also take all of these recolours.

This is a very crappy preview of a few of the recolours in game.

I've been neglecting this place a little lately. Nothing new there, really. I just got my computer back and I'm reinstalling everything on it, should be able to start working on my CiJ gift soon. I'm still working (at Duracell, you know, from the batteries) until July 29th, which is when the summer will really start for me (and hopefully it will stop raining by then). My grandfather's in hospital with a bad galbladder infection, so there's lots of driving back and forth to the hospital to do too. So I have another busy week ahead of me.

I did upload a few things lately, that I've been meaning to link to from here.

This is all I managed to get done for the GoS monthly theme. Wanting to do a set of deco dragons and a set of unicorns during the exam period turned out to be just a little bit too ambitious. So you just get the one dragon in two sizes.

Download at Garden of Shadows

Last exam tomorrow, then two days off, then summer job for a month, and then I have almost 2 months of vacation!

Yes, I'm still alive. I've been very busy finishing everything up for my internship portfolios and writing papers. I handed those all in yesterday, and now I have just one exam left to prepare for.

Anyway, these have been 95% finished for a long time, but I'm finally uploading them.

A bearded axe in 3 sizes. Each size comes in 2 versions: leaning against the wall and lying on the floor.

Just some viking shields to hang on your walls, or to lean against them.

Can be downloaded here at the new forum specifically for medieval simming. Check out the rest of the forum too!

I'm just making a little list of all the stuff suitable for medieval games that I want to make. I've been collecting suggestions over at GoS, but I'm putting it up here so that I have it all in one place and feel more obligated to actually finish them.

Hat's Saints (you'll see what I mean by that)
+ worshipable altar?

Animals:

Owls (+ maybe as a parrot pet variant)
Foxes
Wolves
Dogs
Rats
Cats
Goats
Squirrels
Does (maybe)
Chickens
Cows
Geese
Ducks
Donkeys
Sheep, because Sunni wants to be able to sheer her sheep and Blacky's don't come with that option :P
Pheasants
Pigeons?
Vultures?
Falcons
Bats
Peafowl
Dragons
Unicorns
More bears

Profession clutter:

Blacksmith
Butcher --> meat
Weaver --> loom, spinning wheel, baskets of wool, carding combs, spindles, baskets of thread, rolled or folded cloth,
Cobbler --> shoes, tools
Bakery --> oven, bread (single, on boards, in baskets), cakes, gingerbread, sacks of flour, salt, yeast, kneaded dough, rising dough, rolling pins
Farmer --> plow, feed and water troughs, haystack, scarecrow,
Alchemist

Other random ideas:

Deco roofs
Water well
Chalices/goblets
Helmets/hats
Hourglass (as alarm)
Church bells
Filled or empty baskets
Kitchen clutter
Bows
Knives
Books
Place settings
Chairs and benches
Statues
Fountains
Tents
Peddler's carts
Quills + pen replacement

Presently too difficult:

Glassless windows

If you play a medieval game and have more suggestions, feel free to post them.

First of all, a late happy birthday to xpinkyhayzx and to Fran (CuriousB/Bagfran)!

Secondly, a late Happy Newyear to all of you!

Thirdly, I have a new layout. Should be much easier on the eyes :)

And lastly, I participated in BPS and GoS's Secret Santa events this year.

At BPS, I made a gift for Amythestfenix. I made her the Pottery Barn Farmhouse canopy bed and matching endtable, and some deco clutter.

I have exams until the 31st of January, so I'm trying not to make anything until then. Which is hard, because creating is a lot more fun than studying. The next set I upload will definitely be medieval though.

ETA Nearly forgot. Remember the pigs and boars from a while back? RepulsiveDesire converted them to TS3.

Today was my day in GoS's advent calendar, so if that picture got you interested, have a look at what I posted. There's bedding, camels, hares/rabbits and deer bucks.

The Dead

This is my contribution to Garden of Shadows' monthly theme. (Yes, I am starting to get the feeling that all I ever make is for someone's monthly theme ...)

10 new meshes included: 4 tombstones, a coffin, a shovel, a tomb, a knight statue, a sarcophagus and a skeleton, with 2 recolours.

Psychosim adviced me to make some of the texture sizes smaller to reduce the filesize, so please redownload the set. Most of the meshes now have smaller textures, and I fixed the statue to appear in deco/statues, rather than deco/misc.

This is my contribution to BPS's monthly theme.

Included are 18 new meshes, including some pigs in varying poses, some piglets, and some wild boars. There is one master mesh to which the rest is slaved. They also come with 9 recolours. The mesh has the pink colour, then there's a spotty pink/black recolour, a striped one, brown and black boar recolours and muddy versions of all of those.

The polycount for the pig is 2620, the boar is 2617 and the piglet is 2620 as well.

The pictures were taken in Ingrid (Lama)'s lovely medieval marketplace lot.

You can get them at BlackPearlSims. Or for those without a BPS account, you can download them directly at Mediafire or Box.

These have now been converted for The Sims 3 by RepulsiveDesire.

This was my contribution to SimOasis' August theme.

It contains three new meshes, a circus wagon, and two bears with vests, and two recolours of the bears. The bear that is standing up is slaved to the one that is walking on his four feet. There is one vest recolour, and one recolour to make the vest invisible, so that you can have normal bears too. Polycount info is in the readme. The bears are quite high poly, so don't use them if you're on a particularly slow computer, and don't put a hundred of them in one lot, unless you want your computer to explode :P

This was a request from Obsidian at Garden of Shadows. I have recoloured the bed in Pooklet's natural colours. I also made beddings in all of Pooklet's colours (naturals and neons), because I use HugeLunatic's fix, which makes the curtains take bedding textures. I highly recommend it.

Not all colours pictured and no swatches, because I am lazy and I assume you all know what Pooklet's colours look like.

Credit to Maxis for the mesh, Pooklet for the colours, Cassandre for the white sheets I took off her Winterwool beddings, and HugeLunatic for her fix of the mesh.

This was my gift for this month's theme at SimOasis, Fun in the Sun, a theme about summer and beaches.

So, I handed in my last paper yesterday. It would be summer vacation now, if I'd finished my thesis in time. But I didn't so that's what I'll be working on for the next few weeks/months/who knows how long it will take.

In the mean while, I did upload two new things.

Pink elephants, which you can get at Sim Oasis.

And Jonesi bed blanket recolours at Simscave.

I haven't worked on the CS jaguar extraction anymore, no time, but I'll try again soon. I just have to get the hang of Milkshape.

That's all for now, see you again soon!
